The Canal Academy is a secondary school and sixth form which opened in 2007 and offers a range of rooms and facilities for film/photography productions to use.

The college has a variety of classrooms on site with a main hall, cafe and canteen, sports gym and basketball court, changing rooms, library, theatre, studios, outdoor terrace and canal river views.
