Victoria Park - West Side

Tower Hamlets | Ref 24612

Victoria Park is one of London's most important historic parks and its oldest public park. It has been used by millions of Londoners for nearly 170 years as a place of healthy recreation, sports, play and relaxation.

The park is the largest in Tower Hamlets, and is bordered on its northern boundary by the London Borough of Hackney. A wide range of formal and informal sports, sponsored activities, events and festivals take place throughout the year.

The West Side of Victoria Park refers to the area of the park west of Grove Road. The West side is busier with a more manicured feel.

Key landmarks include:

  • Boating Lake
  • Chinese Pagoda
  • Rose Gardens
  • Sulkin Gardens
  • Wide Tree Line Paths
  • Pavillion Cafe

The V&A building can also be used as a holding area.

Boats can be hired from Regal Boat Hire to use on the lake.
