Altab Ali Park
Tower Hamlets | Ref 30876
Altab Ali Park (renamed in 1998) is an open space area right in the heart of Tower Hamlets, located on Adler Street, White Church Lane and Whitechapel Road.
Dating back to the 14th century, this location has a rich history and is full of hidden treasures. Surrounded by modern builds in the background, the park has a urban feel to it.
This space is a very inviting spot, as it has numerous places to sit down and chill. A monument stands tall in the corner of the park; a replica of the Shaheed Minar to commemorate the Bengali Language Movement. There are also unique-shaped, Greek-styled concrete blocks scattered around the grass. As well as, massive blocks of wood and stone, which give the park more character.
The park is also very close to the high road, giving productions the options to film on pathways and in front of local shops.
